You Don’t Have to Fail to Succeed !!

Posted by Guest Blogger Joseph Dabon

If asked “Who invented the light bulb?” without doubt, our answer will be Thomas Edison.

Though not totally off the mark, it is not exactly accurate either. Edison is credited to have made the light bulb more efficient. Before he can do that, the light bulb has to be invented. And more than 20 inventors can be given credit for that.

Do you know what they all have in common?

They all wanted to come up with something new, something different, something beneficial to man.

And they failed countless of times before they succeeded. Thomas Edison made more than a thousand tests of as many types of materials before he came up with a bulb that burned brighter and longer.

Why am I talking of the light bulb? Because it is often used as a symbol of an “idea.” And ideas are the seeds that made man what he is today. Like the small acorn becoming the mighty oak or one stone put on top of another, and another and another gave birth to the great pyramids of Egypt.

The bulb is also an excellent example what you may, or must, do with yourself. Edison made the light bulb more efficient, you can do the same with yourself.

The difference is in the “How?”

Edison had nothing but an inquisitive mind. He had no knowledge. Everything, for him, was a secret. Everything he knew was built on trial and error; on experiments. And he erred countless of times. But he used his failures to teach him what and what not to do and try something else.

His success was built on his failures.

In inventing or reinventing yourself, you need not go through the path he took, fail as many times he failed. The Internet has made that possible. It has removed all secrets. Practically everything you need to know to make yourself burn brighter and longer is available.

But you have to search for them. Like Edison who scoured the entire world for materials to work on, you may have to spend endless hours looking for them. You may have to re-channel a lot of your work-for-money time to improving-yourself time.

If you can have to do that, fine. But are you certain that will make you what you want to be?

If you falter, even for a second, if there is a bit of doubt deep within you, then it is not good enough.

What you need is an array of materials to choose from, delivered to you wherever you are. i.e., at  home, at work, at play, anywhere in the world.

That means you can invent or re-invent yourself without losing a minute from what you are doing now. You lose no time, money and effort. Yet you gain what you need to know to improve yourself, make you burn brighter and longer.

Isn’t it awesome? Isn’t it great?

“How?” you may ask.

This is guaranteed to do for you what Edison did to the light bulb – at a fraction of the time, effort and money he spent to do it. .

Part 1 of 5 Series – Setting up a Blog and Monetizing it can be one of the Best Work From Home Businesses !

Hey folks. Rob here. Just want to briefly give you a few tips on a simple way to have one of the your own Work From Home Businesses ! Notice how I said simple.
Now there is a big difference between simple and being easy. Blogging and making money is not necessarily easy. It takes some time and some persistently. But the concept is pretty down right easy. And if you have made it to my Blog here, chances are you can do this thing and make some money.

So in the next 5 posts of my Blog I will give you the exact run down on how I got into blogging and started making some nice income for many years now.

First of all, you need to ask yourself what exactly are you wanting to do with your Blogging. Is it going to be just a part time home business or something you really want to go all out and make it a full time gig ?? This is really important because it will determine the dynamics of your Blogging………… like the hours you put in, the frequency you blog, the amount of outsourcing you want to do, the amount of money you want to invest etc..etc… But there is no doubt about it it can be one of the really good work from home businesses !

Once you determine that then you need to decide what in the heck you want to blog about ?? Gardening, Dating, Weight Loss, Acne, Hair loss, house repair, car repair, speaking a foreign language, stock market and the list can really go on.

I think you should pick something that you have a lot of knowledge about and have passion for. The reason is you want to be a an Authority and build an Authority site. Make it a Site that people cannot resist to come and get incredible content from.

(NOTE : Make sure the topic you blog about gets enough traffic per month to make it worthwhile your time and investment. For instance, how to tame skunk and make it a pet might not be advisable because there is probably little traffic for that topic and thus it might be considered on of the worst work from home businesses you could have! Go to use the Google Adwords tool to see how much traffic a particular Keyword gets. You have to sign up for an Adwords.com account to be able to use this very useful tool. It shows the breakdown of all searches for every topic you can think of. Always make sure you blog about a topic that has at least 1,000 searches a month. I will go into this in more detail later on.)

Over deliver in your Content and you can also post videos about yourself and the knowledge you have.

Just make sure you pick a Niche that you can literally write effectively for about the 10 years to come. Really !! Google rewards Site as they get older and they place these Sites higher in the Search Engines which means more traffic and ultimately more money in your pocket and you will now see that it can be one of the really quality work from home businesses !

Once you have decided what you want to Blog about you can set up a free blog at Blogger.com !! I did this when I first started , however I would think about this for a second. It is much better to have your own hosting at a place like WordPress. You really cannot beat WordPress. If you are really serious about having one of the ‘primo’ work from homes businesses around then consider it.

And I will be talking in detail in the next few posts on how to go about this and setting up your WordPress blog.

For now , think about what you know and what you can blog about and come up with ideas on high you can make people interested in the content you have.

Next post we will be talking about how to step by step set up your WordPress blog. Followed by Monetizing your Blog and doing SEO and building Lists to maximize your profits.

Guys I am here for you and hope to help you having one of the most lucrative work from home businesses ;so do not hesitate to call me or email me at ramsb70@yahoo.com

What Success Is and Isn’t !

‘Insightful Guest Post by Joseph Dabon. A friend and a Associate of ILA.’

If we explicitly define what success is and isn’t, we may fumble a little bit. Not for sheer ignorance of the subject but because of the difficulty in getting the appropriate words to define each.

To cut through the cake, so to speak, I venture my own perceptions. These should get the discussion going, make you think and see where you stand..

These are:

–     Success is the realization of one’s dreams, it isn’t accumulating unfulfilled dreams;

–     Success is working towards specific goals, it isn’t having your goals work out for themselves;

–     Success is about attitude and skills, it isn’t a random choice based on luck or good fortune.

“If that is all there is to it, then why are failures far outnumber the successes?” you might ask.

The answer is simple – it is too darn easy to fail.

Warning:

Do not read the rest of this article if you are an inveterate failure. There is nothing beyond this point that can alter your mindset. You are a failure and will remain a failure because you are comfortable and happy to be a failure.

Otherwise…

Success is not a secret:

No matter what they say, there is no secret formula for success; there is no key that will open the doors to success.

Success is available to everybody. You and I can succeed anytime and every time we want to.

All you have to do is to have a focused and unwavering application of attitude and skills/tools towards the accomplishment of a specific goal.

The key elements here are focused and unwavering application, attitude, and skills/tools.

The first two have one thing in common – YOU. They must come from within you. Nobody can give or teach them to you. They spring from a very strong desire to do better, to reach the unreachable, to go where you have never gone before.

Scary, huh!

The third element, skills/tools, is from without. These are acquired, learned, taught, and picked up along the way or whatever means you got them. And get them, you must.

Nobody earns the right to be called “professional” without being proficient on what he is a professional on. Nobody can succeed without the skills or tools for success, e.g., a doctor, his heartbeat and blood pressure monitors, the hammer and saw for a carpenter, the box wrench for a mechanic, etc.

Do you have the skills and tools for success? Are they good and sufficient enough to take you  higher from your current status? Differentiate you from others as hungry for success as you are?

In today’s world of interconnectivity, they can easily be had. You can read books (traditional or e-books), magazines and periodicals, go to libraries or browse the Internet. You can go to school to learn them or attend specialized seminars to acquire them. Others hire tutors or mentors. People who want to succeed don’t just go the extra mile. They go all the way.

All of the above are useful and effective. They are also expensive in time, if not in money. Unless you have a treasure chest to take care of your family’s needs and unlimited time, it can be difficult for you to get the necessary skills/tools for success this way.

Stay home and learn…and earn:

There is another way using the latest in communication technology.

Through an innovation pioneered by ILA (Inspired Living Applications), you can now get all the skills/tools for success through your mobile devices, computers/laptops and iPods.

On a weekly basis, ILA makes it available to you such skills/tools as time management, personal development, business development, wealth building, personal motivation and many more.

Whether at home, on the field, on vacation or anywhere in the world, ILA’s applications systems constantly keep you close to all the skills/tools for success. It is kind of putting you inside a food basket so you won’t ever go hungry.

Can you see the advantages of this learning innovation? For starters, they:

–     Save you time. Instead of hunting these skills/tools down, they are brought to;

–     Make learning easy as they are given to you in weekly chunks;

–     You save money as you don’t go anywhere to learn, but stay put wherever you are.

If these aren’t good enough, here is a real clincher. ILA will pay you if you can have others take part in this program.

Success is not a secret. It is not difficult, either. You just have to know how and work at it like hell.
